James W. Hall
Winner of the Edgar and Shamus awards, James W. Hall is the author of twenty-one novels, as well as four books of poetry, two short story collections, and two works of nonfiction. He and his wife divide their time between the mountains of North Carolina and South Florida.

Starting out his writing life as a poet, Hall published four collections of poetry, three of them with Carnegie-Mellon University Press. His poems appeared in Poetry, American Scholar, North American Review, Antioch Review, Poetry Northwest, and many other literary magazines.
